Apartment building proposed near Aventura Mall

“A 12-story apartment building could be developed just west of the Aventura Mall in the Ojus neighborhood.
FRC Realty LLC, an affiliate of Chicago-based developer Fifield Co., filed a pre-application for Aventura Crossings with Miami-Dade County officials. It would be developed on part of the 4.31-acre site at 19301 W. Dixie Highway. The property is owned by 19301 W Dixie Storage LLC, which has a self-storage center there. FRC Realty would purchase the vacant portion of the property to the north of the self-storage facility.
The new Virgin Trains USA/Brightline station is planned just north of this project, so it would have connectivity to mass transit.
Aventura Crossings would have 382 apartments, 879 square feet of retail and 533 parking spaces. The building would total 599,282 square feet, including 421,794 square feet of leasable space.
Amenities would include a pool deck, club room, fitness center and gym. There would also be a public park along West Dixie Highway.”
