New upscale apartment homes in the heart of downtown Santa Monica offer unlimited access to all that the city has to offer.

When developers first laid eyes on the parcel of land where they hoped to build a new luxury, mixed-use rental community, the downtown Santa Monica site was dotted with outdated fast-food joints and an antique mall. Parking also was difficult, as cars entering and leaving disrupted traffic flow. Fast-forward to today, and the spot has been reworked to offer the Lincoln Collection, an upscale urban village experience, complete with apartments boasting high-quality features and finishes, and unparalleled amenities situated amid streamlined, sleek sidewalks and plentiful green space.

"We are designing this community to deliver an upscale lifestyle package to our future residents, as well as to bring rental housing into a part of the city that desperately needs it," says Randy Fifield, principal of L.A.-based Century West Partners, who is developing the project with L.A. construction company Milender White. "The community will include a robust set of amenities, along with eye-pleasing design. Lincoln Collection will also pay homage to, and fit in with, the incredible cache of Santa Monica."

Located at 1601 and 1613 Lincoln Blvd. - within walking distance to beaches, Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade, Santa Monica Place, Metro Blue Line, and numerous dining, nightlife and shopping options - the four story development will offer 282 units in two contiguous buildings and 25,000 square feet of street-level retail space. Construction now is under way, with leasing rates announced and completion expected to finish in 2019.

Studio and one-bedroom floor plans are available, with interiors crafted by KAA Design Group including first-class touches such as plank flooring; quartz countertops; European-style cabinetry; stainless-steel appliance packages; and sumptuous, striking baths. Among the amenities: a chic pool and several sundecks; gym; business center; media screening room; lounge and entertainment space; and expansive outdoor courtyards.
